Congratulations! We saw it during school vacation week and thought it was amazing then. The finished snow woman is even grander than we expected! Hope she lasts until May!
She has the best view of Bethel and Sunday River! Good thing she can keep an eye on everything.
Enjoy!

A friend of mine from Bethel supplied me with the link to your site. We have been amazed watching the progress of the Olympia Snow Woman. You should be very proud of your community and the spirit everyone has exibited in making this dream a reality.
Good luck Bethel. Wish I could be there but I am in Houston Texas where it was a cool 80 degrees today……. No SnowMen or Snow Women here…..

My husband and kids headed over to see this amazing snowman while they were up in Maine skiing at Sunday River. We are from Exeter, New Hampshire. I was totally amazed when I saw the pictures he brought back. I wish I could have seen it in person!!

What a site! We were on school vacation from NH and stopped at a local gift shop after skiing at MT Abram on 2-28-08 so they encouraged us to stop by and visit. My girls were amazed at the site! We took lots of pictures to share with friends and family!
This certainly was the year to take on such a project of this magnatude! We absolutely have enough snow to make many more snow womwan and men this season!

As tall as snow woman is….. she doesn’t begin to stack up to our own “living” Olympia Snow here in Maine

Originally from Maine, my sister sent me the web address and I was thrilled to see Olympia. I returned to Maine on vacation about 3 years ago and stayed in Bethel. I sure wish I could be there now to enjoy that snow. Not much skiing here in Clarksville and I surely miss it. Keep up the good work!

I would love it if they were to sell Christmas Cards of Olympia SnowWoman!!
She is VERY impressive, but what is even more impressive is that a town came together to accomplish that. Where I live people do not believe in fellowship!

Congrats! You ALL did a great job! Even for russian people it’s amazing! And… of course someday we will try to crack your record
Thank you for integrating all people together for THIS! It’s a good example for all of us!

Hello Bethel, Maine and BIG congratulations from Port St. Lucie, Florida. Lived in Maine when you did Angus in 1999 and was in awe so now have to admire your work while in shorts and T-shirt here in Florida. YOu all deserve a ton of credit and the live cam is terrific. OK so whats the goal for 2010???????

“Olympia” made our local news all the way down here in Bryan/College Station, Texas. This is really something to see. I lived in Bethel 15 yrs. ago, so as you can imagine, I haven’t seen snow since I left. I have really enjoyed these pictures. You have all done a wonderful job. Olympia is just beautiful.

OMG, that is awesome. My Mother told me about this, and I just had to Google it on the web! I am formerly a resident of New Hampshire and visited Bethel many times as a child/young adult. I am now a resident of Florida. Congrats to all, this was wonderful to see, as I sometimes miss the snow….

GREAT JOB !!
NICE TO SEE WE CAN STILL HAVE A GOOD TIME IN THIS COUNTRY
DURING A TOUGH PEROID. THIS PROJECT BRINGS MANY SMILES
AND FOR AWHILE TAKES OUR MIND TO A HAPPY PLACE.
AGAIN–GREAT JOB AND I HOPE IT WILL STILL BE IN PLACE
IN EARLY APRIL WHEN I VISIT THE AREA.
GOD BLESS AMERICA

Great Job Bethel!! It’s nice to see my home town in the national news. So what’s next?
March 18th, 2008 at 10:54 am
Dang, that’s one big pile of snow. Of course, here in Texas it would probably be bigger. Except for the snow part. Seriously, that’s a great achievement - folks in my Dallas office are plumb agog every time I share a photo of Olympia. Community efforts like that are one of the things I miss most about Bethel. Well done!
